The Ethiopian Tourist Guides Professionals Association successfully delivered a specialized training program for 40 of its members in collaboration with University of Vigo, Ethiopian Heritage Authority & Italian Cultural Institute under the theme “Prehistory & UNESCO Archaeological Sites.”
This year’s program was built on last year’s foundation, further strengthening members’ knowledge and practical skills. The three-day training brought together 12 distinguished experts with deep experience in archaeology, heritage management and prehistoric studies. Among the notable presenters were Professor Tekle Hagos, Dr. Mulugeta Fisseha, Dr. Alebachew Belay and Ato Tesfaye Aragie, whose contributions greatly enriched the sessions. Many participants described the program as “highly valuable, insightful & deeply enriching.”
The Association conveys its heartfelt appreciation to the Italo-Spanish Archaeological Mission, the University of Vigo, the Italian Cultural Institute, the Ethiopian Heritage Authority and most especially to Andrea Serodio, the lead facilitator, for their unwavering support, expert guidance and full collaboration in making this training a success.
The in-class sessions were held in Italian Cultural Institute (November 24 and 25, 2025) and were concluded with an educational field visit to the museum and research site at the UNESCO inscribed Heritage Melka Kunture Prehistory archaeological complex (November 26, 2025); offering participants an invaluable hands-on learning experience.

ስልጠናው የዛሬ ዓመት የተከናወነው ስልጠና ቀጣይ ክፍል ሲሆን ለሶስት ቀን የቆየ እና ወደ 12 በዘርፉ የካበተ ልምድ ያላቸው አሰልጣኞችን ያካተተ እጅግ በጣም ጥቅሙ የጎላ ስልጠና ነበር።
ስልጠናውን ከሰጡን ምሁራን መካከል ፕሮፌሰር ተክሌ ሐጎስ ፣ ዶክተር ሙሉጌታ ፍስሐ ፣ ዶክተር አለባቸው በላይ እና አቶ ተስፋዬ አራጌ ጥቂቶቹ ነበሩ
ማኅበራችን ለጣልያን እና ስፔን የመካነ ቅርስ ጥናት ቡድን (Italo-Spanish Archaeological Mission) ፣ ለቪጎ ዩኒቨርሲቲ (University of Vigo) ፣ ለጣልያን ባህል ማዕከል (Italian Cultural Institute) ፣ ለኢትዮጵያ ቅርስ ባለስልጣን እና በተለይ የስልጠናው መሪ ተዋናይ የሆኑትን አንድርያ ሰሮዲዮን (Andrea Serodio) ለተደረገልን ሙሉ ዝግጅት በኢትዮጵያ ቱሪስት አስጎብኚ ባለሙያዎች ማኅበር ስም ከፍ ያለ ምስጋና ያቀርባል፡፡
ስልጠናው ህዳር 15 እና 16 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም በጣልያን ባህል ማዕከል ክፍል ውስጥ የተከናወነ ሲሆን ፤ ህዳር 17 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም በተባበሩት መንግስታት ትምህርት እና ሳይንስ ድርጅት በቅርስነት በተመዘገበው መልካ ቁንጡሬ ቅድመ ታሪክ መካነ ቅርስ ቦታ ላይ ያለውን ሙዚየም እና የምርምር ስፍራ በመጎብኘት ተጠናቋል::
